Hi Laura,

I can only find one 'Cumming' born around your dates in Stirlingshire. This one was born in Polmont, which is right beside Muiravonside. This James was the only child listed to these parents.

CUMMING, James Adam   Christening
Gender:   Male
Birth Date:   20 Aug 1832
Christening Date:   8 Oct 1832
Recorded in:   Polmont, Stirlingshire, Scotland

Hello Laura, Are you still looking at your Cumming and Hogg connections?

My unmarried name is Mary Cumming, by brother, father and grandfather are/were all called Adam Cumming.  My grandparents Adam Cumming and Mary MacNab were married on Christmas day 1908 in Muiravonside Church.

My brother Adam married Helen Hogg and they live in Polmont.

This is intriguing Adam and myself and we would welcome any information that you have gathered about this branch of the Cumming and Hogg families.

Best regards

Mary Cumming Middleton
