Portlaoise

Would anyone be familiar with St Peter and Paul RC Parish Church in Portlaoise?

I understand from a now deceased relative that my great grandparents -Fintan and Johanna Breen presented a Station of the Cross to the Parish in the 1800s. I was told that it was moved to the new church in the 1960s and I am wondering if is still there.

Hi Liz,
I live in Portlaoise and attended both the old church,(where I sold the Irish Catholic newspaper) and the new church.
I will check the names under the 'Stations of the Cross' tomorrow and let you know if it's still there.

Hi Jack

It's Liz again. Just wondering if you have had a chance to visit SS Peter and Paul, Portlaoise to check if the Station of The Cross presented in 1880s by Mr Fintan and Mrs Breen is still there. (Incidentally,he was a baker in Main Street).
