I have managed to find these pos children but no marriage for James to Jane Smith
Elizabeth Douglas b 1827 torthwald Dumfries
Mary Douglas b 1833
Janet Douglas b 1831
Robert Douglasb 1839
William Douglas b 1843
Agness Douglas b 1848
Elizabeth & Mary are on 1841 census living with pos grandparents in Torthwald
