Hi Kate,

In case you have any others to look up, you might be interested to know that 100% of the 1841 census for Midlothian has been transcribed on FreeCEN at:
http://freecen.rootsweb.com/

The family which Verna has kindly looked up is there.  FreeCEN has transcribed the 20yo SETON as Gregor and George SETON, 15, as an Appren Coach Wright.  And they have another person in the household - Margarat PITCHES, 60, Widow, born Midlothian.

Looking at the IGI at:
http://www.familysearch.org
finds the christening of a Charles LINDSAY in Canongate in 1819 to a Charles LINDSAY and an Isobel WILSON.
There is a marriage for this couple in 1803 in Canongate, and baptisms for 8 children to them all in Canongate (including a Mary bap 1810).
