I am looking for 2 deaths
Ann Smith Douglas last address Lockerbie in 1841 she had a child in 1848 but as her children are all with her son John Douglas and he is head in 1851 I think she may of died
also looking for her husband
James Douglas he never appears on any census and in 1841 she is married but down as head she had 8 children from 1825 until 1848

Hi Audrey

Fraid if she died pre 1855 there are no death certs in Scotland. There are some records held by the National Archives Scotland of mortcloth rents but are few and far between.

If you can pin down where they were is worth sending them an email or rionging to see if they have them
