My great grandparents are Thomas Lees (1848)  and spouse Sarah Ann Bradley(1847).  They we married Sep. 20, 1869 at St. Matthew's.

I have some information on the brothers, but the remainder of the family I am hoping that someone could come forward with a little information.

Brothers and sisters being: William Thomas Leese (1870) born in Donnington Wood;  Julia Leese (1874), born in Donnington Wood, Died Feb. 28, 1893;  Sabina Leese (1877), born in Donnington Wood;  William H. Leese (1884) born in Donnington Wood;  Harriet Leese (1887), born in Donnington Wood:?? Wrockwardine Wood;  Albert E. Leese (1889), born in Donnington Wood:  George Leese (1882), born in Donnington Wood.

I look forward to hearing from someone.  Thank you.

Doris

Have you found them in any of the census?  If not I can look them up for you?
I can see the family in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 and LILLESHALL is stated as place of birth for all of them.

Have you got Thomas and Sarah's marriage certificate?

I think I've found Thomas in the earlier census, but need his father's name to confirm I've got the right one!

Thank you very much for replying.I have not found them in any of the Census.

I have a copy of the marriage certificate of Thomas and Sarah.  They were married on Sep. 20, 1869 at St. Matthew's Church, Donnington Wood.

Thomas's father was William (1812) born in Lilleshall and his spouse was Mary Pritchard, born abt. 1811).

I wish to thank you for your kind assistance.

I don't know the name of Sarah Bradley's father (could you confirm please from marriage certificate), but here's a possible in 1861:

RG9/1903 Folio 25 Page 18
?? Row, Donnington Wood, Lilleshall

Thomas Bradley Head M 41 Coal Miner Salop Trench
Maria Bradley Wife M 29 Coal Miners Wife Salop Trench
Mary Bradley Dau Unm 20 Servant
Elizabeth Bradley Dau Unm 17 Servant
Sarah Bradley Dau Unm 14 Servant
Emily Bradley Dau 6 Scholar
George Bradley Son 4
Julia Bradley Dau 2

All children born Donnington Wood, Salop

Maria's age has been written as 29 but I think it's a mistake and should be 39 (check my next post for 1851 details, age is correct)
