       my great,great, grandfather was George Bowskill born 1801 in Langford beds,with many thanks to bedfordshier boy david  i now know he came from eaton notts born  1860s ,i think his parents were Thomas & Abigail bowskill,.if anyone can confirm this or any information at all i would be most gratefull

Have you tried looking up Bowskill on the online IGI at
http://www.familysearch.org

There is a George Bowskill baptised 29 Oct 1772 son of Thomas and Abigail
at Eaton, Notts - but this doesn't fit in with your dates.
Your message says he is born about 1801 and then also born about 1860 so I am not sure what dates you are really looking for?

If you need any help let me have dates and names and I will take a look for you.

 i really feel foolish after rereading my first post,it should read George Bowskill birth 1800,Langford Beds.
his father was a William Bowskill who came from Eaton Notts, born about 1760s,and we think his parents wereThomas& Abigail.would be nice if we could confirm this.also any information on trades,work and other family members would be much appreciated.once again sorry for the confusion?

Yes William Bowskill is on the IGI on the website I mentioned above

Bap 25 Mar 1764 son of Thomas & Abigail at Eaton Notts

There are a number of other children of their mentioned too

Are you okay using the IGI if not let me know and I can explain

I know when I started I found it a bit tricky

The IGI does not give occupations
but if someone can look them up in the Parish Records for you sometimes it does mention the father's occupation.

        many thanks for confirming williams parents, thomas@abigail.i will try and get the parish registers ,might give some more information.i may in the near future drive up for a day out in eaton see churchyard etc.again many thanks for help and advice jim
