I am delighted there are so many researching the family, this is all going to be quite a suprise for my father in law when he visits the midlands in April.  I would be greatful if you could pass on my mail address to the "active" cousins.  I will keep in touch via the site.

You are welcome Carol. I originally answered a request from someone who didn't bother to thank me for looking up all the details.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Yes, the watchingmaking lists were very interesting. Thanks. They illustrate well how quickly Coventry didn't feature in the future of watchmaking.
BTW - If anyone is related to the Albert of Birmingham listed I have in another tree (you will need to review both of the SANDERS families on my website on separate webpages).

Thanks also to all for recent posts. I have been snowed under with personal messages from my recent postings. Sorry if I haven't responded to all yet.

Regards,
Mark

You could try these links:

Re: The Will of William SANDERS 1712 - We think this is the same one we currently have as the head of our Coventry SANDERS family. He was a tailor. It seems the watchmaking involvement of the family took hold during the middle C18th.

Mark
