Hello Gareth, Richard Knight Prichard was my great-grandfather who settled in his uncle's house, Dr. William Prichard, called Bryntirian in Bridgend. He was also a director of a local brewery. Coopers are cousins but that particular branch of the family changed the name to Tuthill in order to receive an inheritance.

It may be of interest to you that the Welsh architect, John Prichard, was Richard's uncle and if family lore holds, designed Bryntirian. I have read that Prichard was one of the thirteen royal tribes of Wales governing Powys.
