Congratulations on your 3000th posting Jenn.

Thank you for the link - also found the funeral service very moving.

I did enjoy looking at the photos  - especially restored stables and St Georges -  near my house in Adelaide.  Used to walk by the stables on my morning walk and in years gone by, taking my chn. to the local library.

Cheers
cando

Hi Donna,
thanks for that - further investigation needed there for me, I think.

Hi Jenn,
Congratulations on your elevation to the marquessate!      ;D
That is indeed the site I've come across before when I was searching for a different Russell Bosisto. It is an amazing story isn't it, and does bring tears to the eyes.

Hi Sue,
sorry to confuse, that was one of the mentions I came across of the name in the Government Gazettes. As most of the mentions were in Richmond or otherwise related the eucalyptus oil Joseph, I assumed that the Bridgewater on Loddon mention was also the other Joseph, but now with Donna finding the suicide in Bridgewater I'm not so sure.
He had some sort of dealings with the trustees of the cemetery in Bridgewater in 1873. Could someone check whether anyone with the surname Bosisto died in Bridgewater on Loddon area in 1873?

Thank you all for your help. I'm most grateful.

Hello  there

thanks for your nice comments girls it is appreciated I do enjoy participating on Rootschat immensley

Now on the index 1873 shows birth place not death place and there are no poissibilities

Guiseppe Boschetto d 1873 unknown parentage aged 56 place of birth Geno

Clara Bosustow died aged 6 in 1873 father jacob mother emma sampson

Now the death suicide that Donna has posted would have a strong possibilty to be your chap  the age is spot on but no parents but someone knew how old he was,  the death certificate could just give you some idea.

regards Jenn

Hi Jenn,

thanks for those details. The Clara is interesting because her mother's surname is also one that appears often in Cornwall. It does look like the suicide might be the one, sadly. Or he went to New Zealand or South Africa....

Hi Trish,

I would rather it wasn't a sad story too, but it's still better than not knowing somehow.

Thanks one and all. This has been my first query on the Australian board, although I quite often read the posts, and you've been wonderful.
