1901 Look up please. Complete thank you.
« on: Sunday 15 July 07 15:58 BST (UK) »
I have a marriage of Henry Read and Ellen Souter 1896 Croydon but certificate reads Penge Bromley Kent and on other certificates Penge is down as Croydon Surrey so that is why I have posted under General.
Sadly I can't find the couple on 1901 census any help would be amazing  :)

Penge was in the Surrey 1837-1899, then Kent 1899-1934 according to http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/bromley.html

Do you know if they had any children by 1901?

Can't see a couple together that would fit, even if I try Henry listed as Harry (my grandad was one of them!)

Who were their 1896 witnesses? And where are their parents in 1901- I presuem she hasn't gone home to mum, maybe to have a baby?

Regards

Carol

Thanks for your interest  :) waiting for certificate to arrive they had several children but can't confirm the ones before 1910 as no mothers maiden name given ;D guess I shall have to be a little more patient but thought it would be easy enough to find them- family still live in Penge to this day.

Where are they both in 1891.Census refs if poss please.

When were they both born? What job did he do?

Hopefully if they are mispelt (Reid perhaps) I might be able to find them by place and DOB ,rather than surname.
