Thanks --that helps as it establishes that she did not die an infant.

Have you searched through the full marriage and death indexes for her?

Free to search on
http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/

You need to go through year by year, and quarter by quarter within each year. Just as you would if you were looking through the actual books at the FRC (which you can do, in person, if you prefer at Islington, London, and which used to be the only option, before it came on line in the last few years)
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Aha - presumably not!

I thought I would do a few years to start you off, and found her marriage quite quickly!

Jul/Aug/Sep 1926 Veronica P Lescher to a Mr Wood, Rochford reg district, ref 4a 1860

Have been through the 'Woods' looking for who the cross ref to see who she married, but just cant spot it!

And to start you off looking for children of the marriage I did 1927 (quite a lot of Woods to look through each quarter!) and found:

JUl/Aug/Sep 1927 William S Wood, mothers maiden name Lescher, Chelmsford reg distr, ref 4a 1059

I'll leave you to look for any subsequent children - I dont want to take all the fun of finding things from you!!

But I dont know why you thought she had 'disappeared' -  she seems a nice rewarding person to look for!

but just to round it off for tonight, seeing as they called their first child William, I took another look at Wood marriages for JAS 1926, and sure enough - yes her husband was William Wood (same reference in Rochford). Dont know how I missed it earlier - but it has been a long day.
