have typed in all sorts of variations into Google but no luck with name of town at all, maybe doesn't exist anymore!!
at least i now know where they were born, am pretty sure its them too many conincedences for it not to be. so many thanks bearcat!!! ;D

You could try asking on the Cornwall board - there maybe someone with some local knowledge.

Try finding Henry on another census - it might be easier to narrow down the possibles now.

thanks again bearkat, i think i have found elizabeths birth on freebmd now i know she was born in cornwall, i will do as you suggest many thanks this has been months of trying to find family even typing in names on ancestry but no luck till now, oh the relief!!!!!! ;D

oh crumbs!! elizabeths daughter married a navvy too but i have managed to find them, they had 13 children and they were all born in different towns!!!!!
i don't think they had a Clara and elizabeth was never known as ann as far as i know, my aunt always calls her elizabeth. thanks for all the work though it is appreciated!

regarding your last post about her always being known as Elizabeth never Anne.

I have loads of examples in my family my great grandmother was known as Elizabeth but her name was Mary Elizabeth. also my dads 2  uncle Jim's was Charles and thomas when born. So not sure why they would have taken Jim on there was no other Charles or thomas's in the family at the time.
So i wouldn't discount it. Had to get certificates before dad would believe me ::).
