Thank you ever so much  could you please tell me did you actually re scan the original photo lones sent?  i tried to re-scan i managed to get it larger but was not successful in saving the image anyway that would be something i should learn later :-[

Hi Gisela ...what graphics package are you using? ....If a pic is a low resolution and I cant rescan the original, it sometime helps to avoid pixelation by increasing the ppi incrementally by say 30 ppi each time .Just increasing it this way but by doing it bit by bit in your graphics programme till you get to at least 300..can improve it a bit . Obviously it wont be as good as rescanning the original as you cant obtain extra information from it this way but by doing it bit by bit  it can be an improvement on the original low res scan . Has Lones not got the original to rescan ....> I changed the res on my version incrementally by 30 ppi till  I got to 300 ....
