Patrick DUNNE emigrated from Swinford to England and settled in the town of WIGAN in the county of LANCASHIRE, circa 1848 (the Famine years), where he became a miner.  The 1851 Census for Scholes shows him living with brother Simon and  relatives, Judith, Daniel and Michael Dunn.
