What is the mothers name?

Can anyone help me.
I cannot make out the mothers name on the attached death cert.

It is for Ann Brown, no.5, her father is Andrew McEwen, her mother is Elizabeth McEwen nee?
I cannot make out her maiden name.

I would like to look up their marriage cert next, to go back a generation.

Hi Pettsy,

The BVR's show that Ann is the fourth of eight children born to Andrew McEwen and Elizabeth (Betty) Baird, all born in Balfron between 1789 and 1806.

You won't get a marriage certificate as I'm sure you know, the best you'll get is one of three Proclamation of Banns.

At least knowing their first child came along in 1789 will narrow your dates down a wee bit.

Turns out there's only seven, Ann is listed twice (Ann and Anne)
