Can anyone find Henry Northeast in the 1881 census
This is him in 1871
2 St John's Cott, Penge, Surrey
Henry Northeast Head M 48 Gardener Buckinghamshire

He is not with his wife Kezia and kids who are at 19 Evelina Rd Penge, Surrey. It says she is still married. He died 1890

have you tried searching for H.N in 1881 sometimes prisons and workhouses etc listed people as initals.

I think the Henry you found in Alderbury is the son of John Northeast and he was born c1827.
I havent tried an initial search I didnt know that was possible

i realised afterwwards that yoyu had listed the place of birth i had not read it properly!

trouble with an inital search is just that, the H.N. could stand for anything. (hoo nos? lol - warped sense of humor)
