missing father

looking for Donald and Elizabeth Cameron m/s Adams
found Elizabeth Cameron 1881 census living with Daughter
Flora and Solomon Given in Greenock  they were married 1871 in Dundee
census states she is unmarried and born in Paisley aged 60
on Flora's marriage cert it names them as her parents
I cannot find death certs or  marriage cert for  them
any help appreciated

Have you found Floras birth record? My great gran named her parents on her marriage cert then when i eventually found her birth, it turned out she was illegitimate

I had a look at the 1881 census you mentioned and this looks like Flora in 1851. Elizabeth is again by herself...you would have to check original on Scotlands people to see if she is down as unmarried or widowed etc. If William died before 1851 , this is before statuatory registration in 1855 so you would have to check church burial records

Found what looks like them in 1861..but Donald is down as Daniel...could be a mistranscription..you would again have to check Scotlands people

1861 has no Flora aged 17 on it
I haven't been able to find Flora's bith either

Trying to find her in 1861, as she could have been working as a servant or with relatives.
