Could someone please look up one Sarah Barnes Baptised Circa 1828 at Wanborough.
Her mother was Hannah, either Bourton or Barnes.
(Benjamin Barnes married Hannah Bourton at Wanborough March 1828) I have the marriage certificate.

I could not find a bap for Sarah Barnes and the only bap for Sarah Bourton was 18 Sep 1832 Sarah Jane Bourton dau of George and Ann, lab.

22 Mar 1832, (banns 30 Dec, 6 Jan, 13 Jan) Benjamin Barnes, otp, (x), bach, 21, lodger with Wm Tull of Wanborough for 14 days, and Hannah Bourton, (x), spin otp, 21, lodger with father William Bourton of Wanborough for 14 days.   Witnesses William Barnes (x), Sarah Tull (x), Maria Walker (x).

There is a discrepancy with the marriage date, I have a photocopy of the marriage at Wanborough page 33. The date is 28th March 1828.
Sarah who claimed to be the daughter of Benjamin Barnes went on to marry Thomas Painter at Kempsford in 1847.

No problem Corrie I must have read the date wrongly off the microfiche - not too difficult with poor writing and old copies.

I have checked the Wanborough registers and although there is no baptism for a Sarah Barnes there is a baptism for Martha Barnes on 1 Mar 1829 daughter of Benjamin & Hannah, lab.
