I am trying to trace one of my ancestors name william bennett born in england ormskirk lancashire 1822/1825, can trace him on the english census's 1841,1861 etc but not the 1851 ,however on the 1861 census he is shown as married to a Mary, A, bennett don't know her maiden name but it states she was born in kilkenny/kilkerry/kilkary I was wondering did he travel to ireland and did he marry mary while in ireland and live there at around the time of the 1851 census. I know this is a long shot with such little information but would be most grateful if any one has or comes across the said william and or his wife.

Unfortunately only a few bits of 1851 Census for Ireland survive.
If they had any children and you can find them listed in later census records with a place of birth it might narrow down where the family lived earlier.
