Thank you very much Janis

My husband has been for a hospital appointment this am, I am late getting back to you.

I received this 1841 census from Durham Records Online, as I have done a lot of research in that area.  It gave the 2 children Margaret and Dinah with ages 11.

There is a lot of my family GRAYDON, FLETCHER, MAUGHAN, ROSS, ARMSTRONG, GRAY/GRAY etc. in that area.  My mother was born in Trimdon 1903, Nora GRAYDON.

I suppose the next step is to find a marriage or census with Margaret where the age fits or perhaps a death.

I have applied to Durham Record Office for copies of 1 marriage of ROSS at Chester Le Street and 2 at Bishopwearmouth, and 1 from Gateshead, found on the IGI.  One looked a bit suspicious!

Regards
Noreen
