My grandfather was born in 1876 in Drogheda and died in 1942 in Altrincham, Cheshire. He worked for Customs and Excise in England and I wonder if this was his occupation in Ireland. He was in England when my mother was born in 1921.
Is anyone able to do a lookup for me in the 1901 cenus - I would be most grateful.
