That's the '61' that I have. the 1871 shows George - and lists Elizabeth as born renwick, and the '81' is much the same - just 10 years on...

John  married an Alice Geddes in 1883
I do have that marriage cert - which was how I got onto the irthington trail fro Thomas as John's father.
