Ancestry 'Free bmd"
« on: Monday 23 July 07 14:07 BST (UK) »
I have been trying to use the Ancestry. co bmd indexes but I can no longer view the records and so get vol and page nos. without a subscription.  I have had a look on the site but can't find anything that tells me. Anyone know?

You now have to have a subscription. Extensively discussed on this thread http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,246151.0.html

Use the direct FreeBDM search - I like the format better than ancestry and it is free!

I think some of the ancestry threads were merged - this link should work

Hello everyone

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere but I have just used ancestry.com and it seems to be back to the way it used to be.  I can view the details again now. ;D
Anyone else found this .....or is it old news ( I have been know to be a bit slow at times......I think it's called old age  ::)

Thank goodness for this..... I thought I'd broken Ancestry.com as I have, as recently as yesterday, found that I cannot access the BMD indices for free any more. I must admit though, it is quite sometime since I needed to look at them.
