Thank you for this offer .

Can you please locate (if poss!) John and Agnes Scott post 1901?

Both were living at 1 Mary Street Langholm in 1901 John was born in 1831 Agnes 1832.

They also had sons Alexander 1867 and James 1861 who after 1881 disappear - presumed dead?

K

Many, many thanks for this - yes they are my ancesters.

John Scott lived to a fine age as did his brothers - good to see, and hope for me yet! Interesting that he moved to Renfew too. Sad though that many of his and Agnes's children died young.

A question you quote ... ''lso Johns young son of the above who died 16/8/1917'' - can't figure out who this is??? Can you help further?

Sincere thanks again

K

It seems that only one child William c1864 of the entire Scott family survived ...the rest i.e those mentioned on the grave had been Mill Workers in 1881 a dangerous occupation...

The reason John Scott died in Renfew was William as above was living there in 1901 and probably was there in 1922 upon John in fathers death. Great to put a story to BMD information

Sincere thanks K
