While looking at the parish records of Lewannick, Cornwall I noticed several entries had after them, 'Sojouner' and lic (in italics) what do they mean?
Malc
Fisher, Wall, Wallace, Woodward, Marsh, Chapman, Wood, Wileman, Kendall, Taylor, Goldsack, Colsonsacke.

A sojourner was usually someone who was not a legally settled resident of the parish.  It implies that the person concerned was a fairly recent arrival and possibly only temporarily in the area.  Sojourners might be just passing through or could be planning to put down roots and settle there.

'lic' often indicates a marriage by licence.
All inhabitants of Axbridge, Somerset.
