help in finding a morrison

hi everyone

im hoping someone might beable to help me

im trying to find the birth place for alexander morrison  we have been told he was born in langholm  BUT when all family members  have tryed looking for him he is not there ,
also we are trying to find his  and his wife janet morrison [nee irving ] death  and place of burial
as of yet we have had no joy
i have records as upto date as possible for the grave yards in langholm  but with no joy of finding him

if anyone can help or give me some idea's

date of birth we are guessing around 1775 ish

marriage is 17 jun 1797 in langholm

thats all we have

yes alexander  had a son james morrison he married mary beattie

the family have done realy well with finding alot on the but when it comes to alexander and janet ........well we just cant find anything
