John bn 13/07/1834 Tinwald died 29/06/1913 (m) Janet on 29/05/1863 at St Mungo. Children Marion bn 16/11/1863, Robert bn 13/03/1865 (m) Mary Anne
Towlan 17/12/1887 at Hoddom, Francis bn08/01/1867 (m) Harries 25/11/1885
at Dumfries 2nd wife Susan Kirk (m) 1927, William bn 03/08/1869, David bn 01/07/1871, Isabella bn 07/06/1873 (m) John Kerr 07/09/1894, John bn 06/05/1876 (m) Mary Alston 19/05/1905, Thomas bn 28/04/1878, James bn
04/07/1880.  All the Children were born at St Mungo, looking for anyone who has thie family tree.

RE: Jardine’s & shoemakers etc- wonder if my family are not connected to yours somewhere. Very familiar occupations & surnames.
My two lines are as follows:
(1)
Janet Lorimer KERR 1846 –1877 Born & Died Kirkbride Kier
Married James McCUBBIN 1839-1917
They had a son John McCUBBIN who was a shoemaker b. Dunscore 1862/3
(2)
William JARDINE/GARDINE b.1832 Urr Kirkcudbright
Married Eliza CARRUTHERS 1820-1851 Died Quarrelwood
They had a daughter Jane  b.1848 Penpoint.
Eliza’s mother was Sarah McDONALD – The McDONALD’s were a family of shoemakers that passed the tradition on to the Carruthers family.

Perhaps this will ring a few bells
