I am looking for the parents of ELLEN FORSYTHE  who was born in Co.Meath area in 1843. She later married THOMAS BAXTER in Carlisle.

Hello Pat,

I have checked two sites http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php and http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/surname/index.cfm The name Forsythe does not appear in Griffiths Valuation of Co. Meath in 1855. This may mean that Ellen's father was not a head of household or the family had moved from the county during the period between her birth and the time of the Valuation.
