Prisons - Isle of Wight
« on: Friday 27 July 07 04:29 BST (UK) »
I have just unearthed one of those skeletons from the family closet - that my gtgrandfather's brother was in Parkhurst Prison on the Isle of Wight in 1891.  I am trying to find out where I can find out what he was "in for" and what happened to him.  I can't find a trace of him afterward which leads me to believe he may have left the country.
Anyone who has a few good leads to track down the convicts in my family, please let me know.
