Ann Johnstone

Can anybody help me find the parents of the above, I know she married a Christopher Irvine/Irving from K.Fleming he was born c.1817, I have no date of birth for Ann, I have come to a stop and am totally stuck. Any help would be appreciated

Have you located them on any of the early censuses. The1851 for KKD & DFS can be searched as an index here:

http://www.dumgal.gov.uk/historicalindexes/census.aspx

This would give an approx age and place of birth to start your search with.

I've just found her

Put in Ann Irving. She's in Kirkpatrick Flemming.

Also you could try getting her death certificate from Scotland's People www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

She died between 1861 and 1881.  Christopher is living with his sister Mary Ramsay in 1881.

She was alive in 1871 as Annie Irving, aged 47, b. Kirkpatrick Flemming.

You got the wrong Christopher. They are both alive in the 1881 in KF with son, Robert, 2 grandchildren and Ann's brother.
