Gasson and Hogben

Can anyone out there  help with the names Gasson and Hogben?

Great- grandfather x3 was William Gasson who married a Rose Hogben
about 1812, they had 8 children which I know about,

Rose died at the age of 35years

Would like if possible to know a bit more about William
