Hello V W. Here are the other Wilsongravestones.
499. Loving memory of Isabella Gibson Wilson died 28/Dec/1929 aged 48 years.
5152. In loving memory of Elsie Wilson born Sep/1/1896 died May/31/1897.
Also Ada Wilson born Oct/17/1889 died July/22/1895.
5169. Effectionate Remembrance of Jane The beloved wife of James Wilson of Etherley who died March/31/1885 aged 53 years. Also Thomas Spencer Wells son of the above born April/10/1864 died March/17/1905 in Sipolilos, Rhodesia.
5182 In loving memory of John Wilson of Etherley who died March/20/1887 age 90 years.  Also Margaret wife of the above who died Dec/30/1885 age 87 years. Also James son of the above who died Oct/3/1882 age 59 years.
That completes Etherley. I have also completed Tow Law, Wolsingham,Hamsterley,
Frosterley, Stanhope,Witton le Wear. I may do Hunwick next.
Had no luck with the Wilsons Inn. I think you would have better luck if you put the question on to a local site ie Bishop auckland http://www.bishopaucklandhistory.co.uk/ some of the oldies may come up with some information.

I was reading somewhere lately that there was a massive outbreak of Smallpox in the West Auckland area.. and a lot of children died from it between 1870 and 1873..
