I knew my hubbys grandfather was in the army, and i knew his army number so i typed it in the search box, and got three pages of results, great i thought thats fantastic, then i thought thats not much considering we knew he had a long army career.
So i went back and seached just on his name and then i came up with another thirteen pages, I knew it was the right Alfred Smith as his wife and children were mentioned on the pages, even his death cert was on there of 1949, which amazed me.

So when searching through those pages there might be more than you think on two different files. It's a long search especially with  the name Smith, but Blimey i am so chuffed with what i have found.

Also found another member using an alias name, only found that out because my gt grandparents are also noted on his file with an address that i knew.

Happy Hunting
