Hi,

I don't know when he served except that he did!  But it must   have been when his eldest child was about 6/7 ( because of the postcard sent by his wife with a school group photo on it) which would have made it around 1914.  The address is for Oxford and Bucks.  Also he wasn't on the 1901 census.

I have 2 photos - one I think as quite a young man and the other, see earlier post, where he is certainly a fair bit older.  So I suppose he could have done 2 stints!

His wife was Ada Lily Harding, he married her in 1907 in Maidenhead.

Your message has given me a bit of hope, as I've almost given up!  I look forward to more news, she says hopefully,
