In the 1871 census.the place it says he was born is not a proper place so i persume it is a transcription error,   Class: RG10; Piece: 2950; Folio: 173; Page: 20

The place is transcribed as Llandrindod, which is the main town in Radnorshire. Checking the actual image, it certainly looks like Llandrindod, but with the final d missing.

Thanks for that... Llandrindod... because i don't know wales very well i was looking at all the Lla, but there is quite a few isnt there.

Hopefully this might help me place the family in Wales ...
