CAUL family

trying to track down the CAUL family on the 1871 & 1901 Census without much success.  I have tried Scotland's People but no luck.  On the earlier Census they are in the district of MEARNS.

Michael CAUL & Agnes McKENNA were married in 1859 in RFW.
Michael died in 1896 & Agnes in 1909.

I think I may have them in 1871 - the transcription I have gives the name as Came
The transcription is awful - Mearns - the location is transcribed as Rearas on place of birth! I think 8 year old James, may be 5 year old Agnes!

1901 has Agnes living with her son Michael

On Scotland's People I found the CAULs on the 1901 Census no problem but still can't locate them on the 1871 even with the information you gave me

So was my find correct? or the completely wrong family? Pleased that you found it (or SP found it - they do take note of bad transcriptions - unlike other folks    )
