Canada does seem to appeal to Watson descendents of John of Caythorpe.  William McCurdy in Canada, another decendent, has compiled a very comprehensive FH of the Watsons descended from John. I am in touch with him & will try to contact him to inform him of the interest on Rootsnet.  I believe his email to be (*) if you want to try contacting him direct. There are still a number of Watsons in the Leicester area, my g/father was Daniel Watson a younger member of the family. I have brother Tim Watson, but he also has two daughters only, which finishes another direct Watson line.

Just saw your post as I don't come to this site often.  The email address you sent was deleted by the administrator.  I think the rules are I must post 3 times? Before I can send/receive a PM.  This is my second post.  I am interested in contacting you and the email recipient you mentioned.  I believe I have traced John Watson back to Caythorpe to grandfather Richard.  Has anyone gone further back than this?
