« on: Monday 06 August 07 05:11 BST (UK) »

i checked the deaths in croagh ballycastle and dervock ballymoney as the family were from the moycraig liscolman area's.
i may have overlooked the name's but doe's anyone know where else i should look.the name's i am after are thomas brannon/brannan/brennan
and his wife name unknown.
so far i know james got married in 1867 and it gives his dad's name as thomas from moycraig.i got jame's death and would like to find his dad's and mum's.

Hard to answer without some more details. What religion were they and any idea of what dates Thomas & wife might have died? There could have been death notices in the local paper but you have to have a clearer idea of dates to search them.

Don't assume that father is still alive if his name is listed on son's marriage certificate.
When you say you checked the deaths in Belfast what were you checking? death indexes?

Could they have died much later or even moved out of the area? Or perhaps the deaths were not registered in Croagh registration district.

not to sure about them moving out of the area as this is the same area that jame's raised his whole family, but you never know.
the chance could be they may be registered else where.
that's what i am hoping some kind soul can help me with.

Have you checked death indexes for them? (not just that particular registration district)
Have you checked for a Will for Thomas?
Also, if the family are in Griffith's Valuation PRONI has the Valuation notebooks that follow on until c1930. If you can find when the property changed from Thomas to James or whoever it might narrow down date of death for Thomas.
