1841 Lookup please

I am trying to find details for the Gilmore family  that lived in Portland Street Troon, at the time of the 1841 census. Father James Gilmore, wife Jean who had children,
Elizabeth, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Barbara, Jean, Margaret, David, James, Jean.  I assume that one Elizabeth and a James  and a Jean died in childhood.

Also in same street, Portland Street, Troon, were the Cowan family, Father Hector wife Margaret and children Jane, Margaret, James, Barbara  Gilmore, Janet Burns,
John.  John Cowan married Margaret Gilmore in later years.


Any assistance is greatly appreciated

the surname is probably a mistake in the transcription, the address is the same, there isn't a category for troon but kilmarnock is close.

Thank you for such a prompt reply.   No, sorry, the families I am looking for are GILMORE  and COWAN.   Both families I am told are on the 1841 census, living at Portland Street, Troon, Ayrshire.

living at portland st. patersons land, dundonald, ayrshire.
all born in ayrshire.

david gilman age 25. occ. carpenter.
elizabeth age 23.
david age 2.

in another house in same street
jean gilman age 60.
mary age 30.

and another house in the same street
john gilman age 2.
staying with a mr and mrs hunter and family.

Thank you for those details, but, no, I am sorry, that is not the correct family.  The christian names do not match up, with any other names, that I have,  I will keep searching.
