I seem to have "lost" details of those of you who have helped me with this query. So this is just to say a big thank you to you all.
Joseph Barrett b. ("of this parish" crossed out & "of this Liberty" substituted) and Sarah Byatt s. (same thing) were married ("with the consent of" crossed out & "by banns" substituted) 28 May 1837. Both signed with a X. Witnesses Henry Westwood and Rosa Smith (both signed their names).
I do not recognise the witnesses names. I will keep the info but will keep looking to try and find Joseph's mysterious wife Sarah.
In the 1841 census they had a daughter Jane born about 1833 but I cannot find a record for her, Eliza born 28.7.1834 and Emma born 15.7.1837. Eliza and Emma born and baptised Wormley, children of Joseph and Sarah Barrett.
