The death in Holbeck (Leeds) is a red herring ... there's a Matilda WATSON aged 1 in Holbeck in 1891 census.

As the Holbeach one was 4m in the census, she wouldn't have had a birthday by September of that year.

that birth is the one on the missing page on the imageson freebmd-thanks.
Thanks Geoff for clearing up the Holbeck/Holbeach problem.So what's happened to her I wonder?

I imagine Annie and Matilda must be the same child.  Otherwise, one must ask "where was Annie in 1891?" as there's no one around that fits.

Hi Geoff,
I'm inclined to agree with you.It's just a pity that the birth reg didn't give her name as Matilda Annie!  That would have solved a big problem ;)
