Margaret Thomson d.o.b 23/12/1840 Preston Pans. Parents George Thomson & Jane Dunlop who married 06/11/1831 Edinburgh Parish Edinburgh Midlothian. The marriage details are an extracted record from the IGI. I have found another sibling for Margaret, Alexander d.o.b 25/08/1842 also Preston Pans.

Any help would be much appreciated  :) Lyn

In the 1841 census at Prestonpurs(sic) Prestonpans East Lothian

George Thomson 30 b 1811 Scotland – Wright
Jane Thomson 25 b 1816 East Lothian – wife
George Thomson 8 b 1833 East Lothian
Isaac Thomson 5 b 1836 East Lothian
Cathrine Thomson 2 b 1839 East Lothian
Margret Thomson 5 months b 1840 East Lothian

Remember the rounding down of ages George can be 30 to 34, Jane 25 to 29.

In 1861 census at 1 Croft-an-Righ Canongate Edinburgh

 Croft-an-Righ (Field of the King), is at Abbeyhill side of Holyrood Palace, You can Google and get a photo of the house.
