I wonder if anyone can help with locating records for a William Trezise who went to Australia. William married Florence Platt probably in Perth WA, though we haven't found the marriage details yet. Florence and her Mother Sarah departed London November 1903 on the ship OPHIR. Florence was 17 yrs of age when they left for Australia. She was born 1886 West Ham Essex.

There is an Alfred Platt age 32 yrs, who left England for Melbourne in 1896, who may be an Uncle to Florence. I have all details for Florence and family up until they left for Australia, but can't find anything on William Trezise. I've googled the Trezise name, and it seems to have strong links to Cornwall. Any help would be very much appreciated.  Lyn

I can not fine any Trezise coming in to Australia there after 1924 there in no William or Florence there a Frederick came in 1924 to Adelaide there thats the only 1900 one .
 Nil to Western Australia they was Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide.

Florence Platt married William J. Trezise in the District of Claremont in 1910. Number is given as 11.

It is possible that William was born in Australia, though he does not show up in the WA index search.  The marriage certificate will not tell you his birthplace - that was not included until 1923.  Should give his parents names,.

There is nothing in the indexes for Victoria for the Alfred Platt who went to Melbourne- no marriage or children born to him to 1920, no death to 1985.   There is death for a Fred Platt, but he was born about 1906, the wrong age to be Catherine's uncle? though I know it is possible to be an aunt or uncle at birth!

I also have 4 Platt B M & Deaths 1905 - 1912 Western Australia.

As for Alfred Platt who came to Melbourne. His y.o.b 1864. I do have an Alfred in my tree, same year of birth, but after 1881 I don't have any info on him.
