henry bennett and eleanor coppack
« on: Saturday 11 August 07 23:40 BST (UK) »
Hi roots chatters
Can any of you kind people out there help me with my query. Could anyone give me a list of henry bennett and elaeanor coppack 's children maybe from the 1841 census-and on the same page is william his son-married to mary nee jones and thei rchildren. Henry was a farmer on that census. He would be in his sixties i think on that census approx.
I am confusing my bennett siblings and just wondered what the census had down. I have my william born in 1801-3 approx and maybe a thomas born 1813 but has he got a charles also???
Any help would be appreciated.
thankyou
frankie

thanks gadget
great help-did not even know about james. If anyone could check parish records for definate henry and eleanor kids that would be great. Wondered if they had two williams and one died-one born 1799 and one born 1803 ish. Not sure-its very confusing out there. Checking the familysearch site confuses me no end. I spotted a henry and mary partnership out there with a william born 1803. Well even so my william and mary are definately on that page with my benjamin next to henry and eleanor-so surley there is a connection-hopefully its his son. Just want to be a little bit more certain im not just grabbing onto henry and eleanor for no good reason.
thanks again gadget and anyone else out there who has helped me so far eg megran and william etc.
regards
frankie

Hi gadget
just thought id mention megran or some other helpful soul on here had already given me the  william and mary bennett nee jones christenings-from hannah born 1823 to martha born 1849-hopefully those last few born in the 1840's are my william and mary's children-but have not yet got the henry and eleanor nee coppack hildrens christenings-and they may be easier to spot as eleanor is not as common a name as mary.??? heres hoping.thanks

I noticed that a William was bpt. Hawarden in 1799 onIGI. The others are all patron submissions.

I expect Paul will look them up for you. He's near the Hawarden Records Office and is very kind :)

I'll PM him this link  :)

Frankie,
The James Bennett you mention, was buried in 1843 St Marks, Connah's Quay. His grave is five from his parents Henry and Eleanor's. I included the details in my message to you in July.

Hi gadget and megran
I have so many james and benjamins i am getting confused now. Thanks for your replies. I am wondering if that william 1799 born hawarden is that other william born to john and catherine who married mary duckworth and that is what is causing confusion for people on the Genes Reunited site. I have saved the stuff megran sent me to my documents to tie in to any baptisms i may get.
No -it does not seem to be from the 1851 census because the william in hawarden says he was 59 in 1851 so thats not a 1799 birth is it-but he may have been baptised late i suppose???
Any help is gratefully recieved.
kind regards to gadget and to megran

Hello Frankie,
There were two William Bennett's bp in Hawarden, 1799 and 1801 both were listed with parents Henry and Eleanor/Ellen. No reference to the 1st as a PB and the 2nd as being received into the church. No burial for the 1st William as yet found in Hawarden or Northop. There was a burial 14th Sept 1802 Northop for a William age 1yr, of Wepre. No parents stated. Maybe the BT's or parish records would help.
Regards,
Megran.

Frankie,
The Charles Bennett you mention was buried St Mark's, Connah's Quay 1849 in the grave next to his parents  Henry and Eleanor. This was on the list I sent.
