Almeley suicide 1941
« on: Sunday 12 August 07 14:19 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have any information about Edward Joseph Jenkins who died in April 1941, he shot himself in the head, he was a farmer. I'm wondering if it might have been covered in a local paper?

He is buried in the Almeley Wooton Quaker meeting house burial ground along with his wife Amy Elizabeth, formerly Hobby, who died soon afterwards.

The burial ground holds lots of other Jenkins and Hobbys, does anyone know anything about the two families?

Thanks, Annette.
Jenkins  Hobby - Herefordshire, Leominster, Kington.
O'connell  Cronin -Ireland, Cork.
Brown  Graeme - Durham Northumberland.

Kington History Society might be a good start.
Address:
The Kington Centre
Bridge Street
Kington HR5 3DP

Local papers would be the Kington Times, Heeford TImes.
Not sure what Coroners details are available at this time as it was wartime.
