Grandad has a nasty scratch

Can anyone take the scratch off Grandad's face and generally work your magic, please

Have I scanned this too big?  Should I re-do it?

He was Swedish, died when he was only 33,
my Mother was only 4 and so of course I never
knew him, but I've read his letters to my Grandma,
and he sounded a very nice man.

Why were they all so serious on these studio photos,
I wonder, I would love to have seen the ancestors smiling,
was it not the done thing?
