Okay, I've converted the flowers into a tea set (or a blobby mess, one or the other lol)

Caz,

Thanks again for your fine work.  It doesn't look like a blobby mess.    :) :)

Definitely a little Tea set.   :)

Probably metal?

Forget the sausages.  8)

Edited piccie to exclude pork product and bring up Tea set  ;D
Scan at 300 plus for restores please. Scan at larger dpi for small photos. Don't forget to crop the scanner bed out! (Them's the white bits)

Thanks again.  Don't know how you did that, but I think it will reassure Irene about her state of mind.    :) :)

You're welcome Kathleen.  I hope the arm looks better now as well.

Well done George, I'm all for authenticity as much as possible (but I still say there's a flower on there and she could have been having sausages for tea  :P :P :P :P :P   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D)

 ;D ;D ;D

The small (blueish) piccie  is just levels and curves. No other alteration.

I opted for no flowers  :-\ :-\

With images as wrecked as this one, what can be resurrected rather than restored is a bonus.
Each of these restores stand up  :) :)  It's all in the interpretation and what pleases the observer.

The original image (as exposed) is gone forever.    :(   We  try to recreate just as the photographer created in the first place. I suppose some (artistic) license is necessary.

I'll sneak some sausage into the next one.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks to all of you for your amazing work on this terribly messed up photo.

Caz,  I'm not asking for more work on this, but if you see flowers, maybe they're on the tea set.    :) :)

I should have also said well done to Irene for picking a tea set in the first place!  My apologies for missing you out!  :-[
