Hi Adee

Did some more work and changed the tone.  I'm convinced that's a bunch of flowers she's holding.  I can just make out her fingers and what looks like petals...either that or I need glasses  :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D

Also done one without the frame.

Hi Caz,

I could not make my mind up what she had on the table.

What's left in the image seems too large for her hand.

Having another look at mine - It looks like two sausages  ;D ;D ;D ;D

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  Maybe they are finger sausages!!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

It's hard to tell, perhaps I just have a vivid imagination!  Pretty sure about the flowers though (she says with fingers crossed behind her back!  :P  ;D ;D )

Hi,

Wonderful restores, Caz, thank you.

I thought it was a little bouquet of flowers and that her hand was not on it, but was behind it, in a more relaxed position.

Regards,  Kathleen

Now that I've had more coffee (it is morning here) I see that in the original it looks like a small plate under the 'flowers' or sweets.

I still think its a tea set   ???
What looks like the middle of a  daisy, to me is a blob and I can also see a cup and a milk jug  ???
I am really worried now as I am the only one that  is seeing this.  :o
Maybe I should just lock myself away for a while til I recover  ;D

Aha!  I think you may be right, Irene.  It may well be a tea set.  Actually, that makes sense, considering the cloth under it.

Regards,   Kathleen

Enlarged, ENLARGED   It is a tea set.

I can see , wild elephants in the background , a dwarf with a big red nose sitting on the table eating  the two sausages that the girl had. Also a zeppelin just flew over   :o :o :o

On a less serious note , I am impressed with some of the restores though, it's another one I gave up on.

The frame brushes up well though........not as if I would steal it !    :-[

Jim's remarks remind me of the fun we had when we were children of 'finding' faces and strange shapes in the wallpaper patterns.  Some of them were very scary.  ::) ::)

Yes, the restoration of this badly stained photo is really wonderful and I thank all of you.
