Robert was born 1865 his father was James Stevenson from Ballypallady

Yes I found vaccination Books in Proni BG/1/L/2 and found lots of babies and adults having vaccinations (another angle for anyone looking for their families)(even found our Twig   )

and this Robert Stevenson aged 3 months was vaccinated on 02/11/1865 ......his father James was with him.

of all the Stevenson's I have ,Robert is not one of them...not in that year...with that father....

so another jigsaw piece

Robert Stevenson, born 13 July 1865, at Ballypallady, Ballymartin.
Father,  Thomas Stevenson, a farmer.
Mother, Susan Stevenson, formerly Barron.
Birth registered by the father on 30 September 1865.

Reference in the Register of Births,   1865, Antrim, volume 11, page 29.

Just had a look-see in Emerald Ancestors and got a marriage for a Thomas Stevenson and Susan Campbell Barron, on the 21 February 1849, in Templepatrick Non Subscribing Presbyterian Church, Templepatrick, Antrim.

No father's names or occupations listed.

I have gone round and round on this one..

I thought it was this Robert to start ,when I found it..

with the grandfather James taking the child to be vaccinated ......

but on my return home realized that the grandfather James had already died.

I have my fingers crossed he is my Robert....but that would mean that he had been born before James Stevenson and Elizabeth Hamilton married....

Waiting for the missus to return, so had another look-see on Emerald Ancestors, this is what I found.
James Stevenson and Elizabeth Hamilton, married on the 5 Aug., 1866, in Belfast Registrar's Office.

Children to above.
In all these births the mother is listed as "Eliza".

1.
"male", born 25 Apr., 1868.  Registered in Belfast, Sub district Shankill No 2.  Antrim.
Could this be Robert .
2.
James, born 20 Aug., 1869. Registered in Belfast No. 8 district, Antrim.
3.
"male", born 1 Apr., 1871. Registered in Belfast No. 8 district, Antrim.
4.
James, born 4 Aug., 1872. Registered in Belfast No. 8 district, Antrim.
5.
Alexander, born 2 Apr., 1874. Registered in Belfast No. 9 district, Antrim.

well ...the unnamed children can be anyones guess....found a lot of Stevenson's did that (total headache looking for them)

1......could be the Robert in 1865

5..unnamed male 1871

8..Andrew....1876

Now there is a William, Samuel (they could be the ones above unnamed)and Two girls one might be Willamina...still unaccounted for.

James Boyd and Wilhemina Stevenson, married on the 5 July 1919, in St Anne's, Church of Ireland, Belfast.
No father's named, sorry.
